Yes, the resort provides a refreshing welcome beverage upon arrival.

Externals vendors for any service that the hotel provides are prohibited, including hair and make-up artists, massage therapists, fitness classes, private chefs, food, and beverage.

Violators are subject to a $500 USD fee.

Water is potable but we do not recommend it for drinking. Purified water is served at the hotel and provided at no cost in the guest room.

Yes, for your safety, we offer an on-site doctor. There are also several hospitals located in Cabo San Lucas.

The resort is on the beach with rooms and suites offering a variety of scenery including sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez. The pool, restaurant, bar and lounge all overlook the beach and are only steps away.

There are swimmer-friendly beaches just a short trip away where you can experience amazing snorkeling, SUP and swimming. The nearest beach is Palmilla's Beach, located approximately 10 minutes by car from the resort.

Due to strong currents, we advise against swimming at the beach adjacent to the resort.

Viceroy Los Cabos is a non-smoking resort. 

In compliance with the official decree modifying the General Law for tobacco control in Mexico, introduced on Sunday, January 15, 2023, Viceroy Los Cabos would like to assure that the safety and well-being of all guests, team members, and associates are of utmost importance. All public areas of Viceroy Los Cabos have been declared free of smoke from cigarettes, vapes, e-cigarettes, and all other tobacco products. Designated smoking areas will be specially marked throughout the hotel for guests to use should they need to.

All the guests are advised to strictly follow these changes. In case of any violations, it could draw fines of up to $550.00 USD.

Complimentary high speed internet and Wi-Fi are available in-room and throughout all public spaces at the resort.

Drones are not permitted on the property.

Yes, you can buy them, but you cannot take them back to the United States. If you are returning to Canada, it is allowed, but be aware of counterfeits.

Destination

The resort is located just moments from downtown San Jose del Cabo. The cities of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo are often referred to as Los Cabos. Los Cabos is located at the base of the Baja peninsula in the state of Baja California Sur on the far western coast of Mexico, where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean.

San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas are safe, welcoming areas. You can walk around with no cause for concern.

There are no requirements for obtaining immunizations or vaccinations before traveling to Cabo San Lucas.

Cabo San Lucas is typically warm and sunny throughout the year, with an average temperature of 78°F (26°C). Occasional rains can be expected in the stormier months from August to October. Winters are generally cooler and nights can be chilly on the water. Late summer is hot, with an average daytime temperature in the high 90°F (32°C.) and warm nights.

Mexican Pesos or US Dollars.

Due to recent local regulations, the acceptance of US Dollars in cash is now restricted across Mexico. Payments with credit/debit cards remain unaffected. Please provide arrangements to settle your accounts and other expenses with a credit card. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause our guests. For security purposes, third-party booking will only be processed via wire transfer and not via credit card. Guests must present their credit card with a valid photo ID upon check-in at the hotel.

Mexico uses 110V electricity, just like the United States and Canada. If you are coming from Europe or Asia, you will need to obtain the proper adapters, which may include a three-prong to two-prong adapter.

Downtown San Jose del Cabo is approximately 7 minutes away by taxi or 10 minutes by complimentary bicycle. Cabo San Lucas is approximately 25 minutes away by taxi.

Early check-in or late check out is based on availability and an extra charge may apply.

The resort is 13 miles south (approx. 25 minutes) from San Jose del Cabo International Airport (SJD).

Major airlines with service at the San Jose Del Cabo Airport include American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, America West, AeroMexico Continental, and United Airlines.
