Masters of Fire

Glassblowing is a multigenerational craft that’s deeply honored in the Baja region. In this intimate, one-on-one class, visit the studio of a master glassblower who, for over sixty years, has honed his distinct regional techniques and is now sharing his secrets. Spend an afternoon as an apprentice, learning how to tame fire–nearly 1600 degrees–and craft one-of-a-kind vessels and sculptures from molten glass. The knowledge and skills you learn here will allow you to preserve history, and take a piece of it home with you, too.
