Eckstine Ballroom

Named after Billy Eckstine, a major voice of DC’s Swing Era, who sang alongside Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Art Blakey and Dizzy Gillespie. The largest event space at Viceroy Washington DC, the Eckstine ballroom is the perfect setting for wedding receptions, cocktail events, classroom-style lectures and more. A skylight provides natural light during the day, and an opportunity for stargazing at night.

Horn

Named after Howard University grad, artist and performer Shirley Horn who recorded with Miles Davis and Quincy Jones and won the 1999 Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Performer. This space is located on the first floor and is lush with natural lighting, Horn features A/V services perfect for teleconferencing, and a side table ideal for coffee service for a small break setup.

Taylor

This meeting room name references a trio of “Taylor” greats in DC — Billy Taylor Sr, Billy Taylor Jr and Tony Taylor. Billy Taylor Jr and Billy Taylor Sr. both led the jazz scene in their days as acclaimed musicians and artistic director for jazz at the JFK Center for the Performing Arts. Tony Taylor not only sang in DC, but owned and ran the renowned Bohemian Caverns jazz club at 11th and U during the 1960s.
