About the Winemaker:
Herdade Monte Branco, located in the charming Alentejo region, is a true gem of winemaking, spanning approximately 200 hectares.
Blending tradition with innovation, its vineyards, rooted in clay-limestone and schist soils and nurtured by the Mediterranean climate, produce wines of exceptional quality. Dedicated to sustainability, this estate stands as a model of harmony between nature and the art of winemaking.
The vineyards feature a selection of traditional Portuguese grape varieties, such as Aragonês, Trincadeira, Alicante Bouschet, and Antão Vaz, carefully cultivated using sustainable practices to ensure the highest quality. Herdade Monte Branco embraces environmentally responsible farming methods, preserving the natural balance of the ecosystem and fostering biodiversity.
Its wines embody a unique terroir, where maritime influences merge with the strength of a continental climate. The temperature and humidity fluctuations between day and night play a vital role in the development of the vines and the ripening of the grapes, resulting in wines that truly capture the essence of the Alentejo.
